ACE - Aspiring Clinical Excellence
Aspiring to Clinical Excellence is a development by Birmingham Cross City CCG. It exists to improve primary care quality and we at the Vesey Practice successfully bid to be early adopters of this strategy.
We launched a bid with Manor and Sutton Park Practices and have already developed new ways of working which will streamline and improve care for hundreds of our patients.
The areas of priority include medicines management i.e. using medication of most proven efficacy in the most effective ways, child safeguarding, best management of chronic diseases. We are leading the way locally in how this is done within current practices.

PATIENT REFERENCE GROUP
The Practice now has a Patient Reference Group which at present consists of approximately 25 members. The group will be involved and informed of any major changes that the practice may wish to make and will be asked for the opinion and agreement of the changes. We continue to work closely each year putting together a survey questionnaire and would like to take this opportunity to thank the members for their continued support.
Patients are now given the opportunity to leave feedback through the Friends and Family test which was introduced in December 2014. The feedback recieved will be discussed with group members on a monthly basis with an aim to improve services where improvement is indicated.

All correspondence takes place via email. If you would like to join our PRG please contact me at the Practice.
The practice will be running a patient survey throughout the month of March. The results of the survey will identify areas within the practice that may need improving and to make possible changes to improve are standards. We would encourage as many patients as possible to take part in our survey and would therefore appreciate it if you would complete the questionnaire when visiting or passing the practice or email me on the above email address for an electronic copy of the questionairre to be completed and returned.

All GP practices are required to declare the mean earnings (e.g. average pay) for GP’s working to
deliver NHS services to patients at each practice.
The average pay for GP’s working in Vesey Practice in the last financial year was £63,179 before
tax and national insurance. This is for 3 full time GPs and 4 part time GPs who worked in the
practice for more than six months.
